I'm Aidan Sullivan, a student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a passion for learning, entrepreneurship, and exploring new opportunities.
My interest in business began at 14, when I founded BrightLife Candles. I made candles by hand and sold them door-to-door, gaining my first experience in entrepreneurship. Since then, I've continued pursuing different business opportunities, including founding Sully's Auto Detailing, co-founding Big Gorillaz Landscaping, and developing the concept for FurSweepX.
At 17, my life took an unexpected turn when I was involved in a head-on collision caused by a drunk driver. I suffered seven broken bones in both legs, underwent extensive medical treatment, and spent approximately three months in a wheelchair. Due to the severity of my injuries, I was unable to attend school in person and had to complete the first semester of my senior year online. The accident also interrupted my business ventures and many aspects of my everyday life. Recovery has been a long and challenging process, but the experience has changed my perspective on life and reinforced my desire to make the most of the opportunities ahead of me.
Academically, I graduated from Rockingham Early College High School with both a high school diploma and an Associate in Arts degree. I'm currently studying finance and mathematics at UNC Charlotte, with plans to further my education in physics and electrical engineering. I also hope to pursue a master's degree in engineering.
Outside of academics and business, I enjoy exploring new interests and challenging myself. Whether it's climbing, traveling, learning languages, or experimenting with electronics, I enjoy stepping outside my comfort zone and discovering new things.
I don't have everything figured out, and my interests continue to evolve. What I do know is that I want to keep learning, building, and experiencing as much as I can.
